*Artist Trading Cards are made by artists to trade with each other. It's a fun way to share small pieces of our art work. At the end of each Guild meeting there will be time set aside for members to trade cards with each other. Since we are fiber artist, our cards need to have fiber.
Knit, crochet, felt, bead, weave, tat, lace work, anything fiber can go on the card. Drawing or painting a small picture and embelishing it with fiber works, too. The card I made and showed as an example at the October meeting was a 2" square weaving I did and embelished it with a charm. I attached it to card stock paper by tacking it down in the corners with embroidery thread. The only requirement is that the card is 2 1/2" by 3 1/2". On the back of the card write the name of your art piece and your name (and your email or phone number if you like). Each card you make should be different. You can make similiar cards for a series/edition. If you like, you can put your card in a small plastic bag to protect it (small zip lock bags can be found in craft stores.
